There won’t be much objection to this news: Capcom has said that the Ace Attorney series will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch in the near future.

In an interview with Haruhiro Tsujimoto, the Capcom exec stated that the developer is working a number of titles for the Nintendo console with the aim of releasing their first game by April 2018. During the chat, new entries in the Ace Attorney series were mentioned specifically.

Phoenix Wright, Miles Edgeworth and co. have been regular faces on Nintendo’s handheld consoles for some time now, bringing with them a mix of zany courtroom drama, spiritual detective work and a heavy dose of over-the-top comedy.

The Ace Attorney series is quite unlike anything else out there, so it’s exciting that Capcom has future games in mind.

There was no word on new entires in other big name Capcom franchises such as Monster Hunter, Resident Evil or Street Fighter.
