Quaint farming and lifestyle simulator, Stardew Valley, will be released for Nintendo Switch on October 5th, Chucklefish Games has confirmed.

Players begin with a small house and a small plot of land left to them by their grandfather, which they must tend to and improve over time to create a thriving farm. Players also meet and chat with the town’s locals who they can form relationships with and even marry.

Understandably, the game has gripped many for countless hours already on consoles and PC with its compelling mix of mechanics akin to Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing.

The Switch release marks the game’s first appearance on a Nintendo device and on a portable system. That’s good news if you want to tend to your crops on the tube, train or wherever you may be in the world. It’s bad news for your productivity on literally any other activity!

Stardew Valley will be available on Nintendo Switch for $14.99 on October 5th.
