The film that launched an action franchise will be stalking its way back to the big screen this November, when Predator hits UK and Ireland cinemas from 9 November 2017.

Park Circus is handling distribution of the Twentieth Century Fox film, which returns to celebrate its 30th anniversary just ahead of the next entry in the franchise.

Shane Black (who was supposed to be on scripting duty for the first film but ended up playing Hawkins), is directing The Predator, which is released in 2018.

The original film – directed by Die Hard helmer John McTiernan – sees Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger) lead an elite squad of US Army commandos to a remote region of the South American jungle, to search for officials from a downed helicopter who have been kidnapped by guerrilla terrorists.

At first it seems like any other mission. Dutch and his team of seasoned combat veterans carry out their mission to try and find the targets, only to stalked by a mysterious adversary.

Park Circus will also release Predator in selected international markets throughout autumn and winter.

A dedicated Predator app was also launched earlier this year.
