Infamous developer Sucker Punch has announced their next title for PS4, an open-world samurai action-adventure game called Ghost of Tsushima.

Revealed as part of Sony’s Paris Games Week press conference, Ghost of Tsushima will take you to 13th century Japan and place you in the role of one of the last remaining samurai. With the Mongol Empire invading the island of Tsushima, you must take the fight to them to secure the freedom of Japan.

The debut trailer is heavy on the CGI and light on actual gameplay, though with the developer’s pedigree in open-world games and the unique concept on display there are more than enough reasons to be excited.

There’s currently no word on a release date, but we’ll definitely be keeping an eye on this one.
