Final Fantasy XV: Episode Ignis, the latest DLC chapter for the Square Enix RPG, will be released on December 13th.

Taking place shortly after the Trial of the Leviathan in the game’s main story, Episode Ignis sends the group’s chef on a battle through the streets of Altissia to protect Noctis. He’ll meet up with Ravus along the way and the pair will have to work together while ‘putting allegiances aside in order to save the ones they care about’.

Episode Ignis also puts fast-paced battles front and centre as you’ll be able to imbue his spelldaggers with different elemental effects and wipe out large groups of enemies with targetted attacks.

Add in a section on a boat as Titan uppercuts ships in the sky, plus some grappling hook parkour across the city’s rooftops, and it’s looking like an action-packed episode.

Alongside the reveal trailer, Square Enix also made the exciting announcement that Chrono Trigger and Xenogears composer, Yasunori Mitsuda, has recorded three pieces of music for Episode Ignis.

Final Fantasy XV is available now for PS4 and Xbox One. A PC release is scheduled for next year.
