Can you believe we’ve had 30 years of Final Fantasy? 30 years since Hironobu Sakaguchi and the team at Squaresoft went all-in on a grand RPG that would either save the company or see them off for good. At least, that’s the urban myth that surrounds the game’s title.

Whatever the truth is, since then we’ve had 15 main numbered entries and countless spin-offs and sequels, many of which have come to define the JRPG genre or even entire console generations. For that, the series more than deserves a 30th birthday celebration.

The festivities will involve a Final Fantasy pop-up experience that will run from November 3 – 5 in London at 21 Slingsby Place, Covent Garden. Fans will be able to play a range of games from across the series, purchase limited edition merchandise, take in some stunning artwork and meet special guests.

If you’re a fan of tea or coffee you’ll probably want to grab yourself one of the special mugs available at the pop-up experience. Designs include Moogle, Chocobo and Cactuar, so all your favourite series mascots are well-represented.

Attendees will also get the chance to go hands-on with upcoming 3 v 3 fighter, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT.

Lastly, the pop-up experience will also host a couple of exclusive evening events. On November 3rd, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT producer Ichiro Hazama will present a session on the game. Meanwhile, on November 4th, Final Fantasy XIV producer and director Naoki Yoshida will be in attendance to discuss the surging MMORPG following the launch of its second expansion, Stormblood, earlier this year.

Tickets for both evening events will be available soon and fans are asked to watch both game’s social media accounts for more information.

The Final Fantasy 30th anniversary pop up experience will be open on November 3rd and 4th from 10:00 – 17:00, and November 5th from 10:00 – 16:00.
