Dragon Ball FighterZ release date moved forward to 26 January

Originally set for release in February 2018, Dragon Ball FighterZ will now be released on January 26th, Bandai Namco has announced.

Alongside the release date, Bandai Namco also confirmed two new characters for the flashy fighter: Nappa and Captain Ginyu. In terms of abilities, Nappa can switch positions with your opponent, while Ginyu is able to deploy Saibamen to assist him in the fight.

More information has also been released about the game’s story mode, which will feature the Super Warriors Arc, the Super Villain Arc and the Android Arc. The story mode will feature a ‘LINK System’ that lets you embody multiple characters and witness events from different perspectives.

Lastly, Bandai Namco announced two digital versions for the game’s release. There’s the Dragon Ball FighterZ – FighterZ Edition, which includes a copy of the game and the FighterZ Pass which adds 8 new characters to the roster. Meanwhile, the Dragon Ball FighterZ – Ultimate Edition comes with the game, FighterZ Pass, a commentator voice pack and anime music pack.

Pre-orders are live now across PS4, Xbox One and PC ahead of the game’s release on January 26th.
