Bandai Namco has announced that bonkers monster-slaying action sequel, God Eater 3, is coming to Europe.

The debut trailer reveals the game’s white-haired, cape-wearing, dual-purple-stabby-arm-wielding protagonist, as he battles with all sorts of over-sized creatures on the ruined surface of Earth. As a God Eater, it’s his job to wipe out these beasts – known as ‘The Aragami’ – in order to restore balance to the world.

God Eater 3 follows the successful launch of God Eater 2: Rage Burst in 2016 in the West. The action RPG was reasonably well-received for its explosive combat and rich RPG mechanics, though many were disappointed it didn’t move on much from the previous games in the series.

Perhaps God Eater 3 will be the step required to elevate the series further.
