Available already: those Star Trek Discovery T-shirts

You saw them on Sunday, in the latest episode of Star Trek: Discovery, when Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) is jogging through the corridors of the USS Discovery with Cadet Sylvia Tilly (Mary Wiseman) wearing a cool t-shirt with the word “Disco” emblazoned across the front. You know, ’cause “Disco” is short for “Discovery”.

All it took was 48 hours and now you can have one too. And it’s a snip at just $26.95. The Star Trek shop is the place to go and judging from the popularity on social media, they’re selling like hot cakes.

Made from 100% cotton, it “features the Discovery delta on both sleeves and the word DISCO for the USS Discovery on the front.”

And…while we’re on the subject of unbelievably cool merchandise, check out these genuine motorcycle helmets. The folks from HJC make helmets based on various pop culture franchises, and now, they’ve added Star Wars to the line of products they offer with three new helmets: one themed after an X-Wing Pilot, one after Boba Fett and the last one after Kylo Ren. Available from Amazon, starting at $179.99 for the xtra small size and going up to $204.99 for xx large.

They’re made of an advanced polycarbonate composite shell, feature a HJ-V8 integrated sunshield and fully removable cheek pads and liner…and most importantly, are all D.O.T. approved.

Seriously, we want one and no one here at MyM even owns a motorcycle.

The pricing is different for both the Boba Fett one and the Kylo Ren one because they’re a different style of motorcycle helmet, closed visor and so on. But to be fair, the X-Wing design is way cooler.

Star Trek: Discovery has just been renewed for a second season and is airing in the US on CBS All Access Sundays at 8:30 pm ET and at 12pm on Mondays in the UK on Netflix. Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens on December 15th.
