Well this IS a surprise! 2000AD, legendary British science fiction anthology comic, is about to run one of it’s special New Readers issues and they seem to have a VERY interesting guest star…
That’s Zenith. Created by comics legends Grant Morrison and Steve Yeowell, Zenith was a fiercely funny, dark superhero series that managed to poke fune at the genre without forgetting to actually tell a story. It’s rightly regarded as one of the best stories 2000AD have ever published and only recently returned to print. Balancing political satire with action and horror Zenith is essential reading. It’s bleak and funny, kind and savage and a perfect fictional document of what life at the end of the ’80s and start of the ’90s was like. With added elder space gods.
Now at least half the creative team seem to be back as that looks a lot like Steve Yeowell’s style. We don’t have details yet but we do know what the issue will contain
JUDGE DREDD // ICON by TC Eglinton (w) Colin MacNeil (a), Chris Blythe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
ROGUE TROOPER // A SOLDIER’S DUTY by James Robinson (w) Leonardo Manco (a) Simon Bowland (l)
