Ubisoft has surprised everyone by announcing Atomega, an online multiplayer FPS coming to PC on September 19th.
Coming from Ubisoft Reflections, who are the folks behind Grow Home and Grow Up, Atomega is an experimental shooter that looks like a cross between Arar.io and Quake.
Each player begins as a single cube and can gather mass by collecting more strewn about the arena. As you build yourself up you become bigger and more powerful, granting you the ability to shoot other players to weaken and steal mass from them.
Each game is only a short, 10-minute burst of action and looks like it could be a fun little distraction for a few games. Keep an eye out for Atomega when it comes to PC via Steam next week.
