The world’s most violent pupper enthusiast is on his way back.

The John Wick movies have set a colossally high water mark for Western action cinema. Their combination of gracefully brutal fight choreography, detailed and subtle world building, top notch cast and an amazingly cute dog have set the Box Office alight twice now. And, probably, walked away from it in slow motion not looking back as it exploded too.

If you’ve not seen them you’re in for a treat. Just maybe skip the first 20 minutes or so of John Wick if you love dogs. Trust us on that.

Now the third movie has a release date. John Wick: Chapter Three will arrive on May 17 2019.

No word yet on stars although Keanu Reeves will certainly be back. We do know Derek Kolstad, who wrote the first two, is on deck for this one as well.

So, only 20 months until we find out how John and his dog get out of New York! Fan theorists, start your engines!
