2017 marks CRYSTAL LAKE’s 15th anniversary, and the Japanese metalcore band have revealed how they plan to celebrate. October will see Ryo Kinoshita (vocals), Yudai Miyamoto (guitar), Shinya Hori (guitar), Gaku Taura (drums) and Bitoku (touring bass) throwing their own festival in Tokyo, dropping new single APOLLO, and conducting their first UK headline tour before finishing the month off with an appearance at a metalcore festival in Germany.
Blending elements of metalcore, hardcore and hard rock, CRYSTAL LAKE has created their most ambitious and dynamic album to date with TRUE NORTH. The release is out now in the UK and Europe courtesy of JPU Records, and in America via Artery Recordings. It is also the name of the UK Tour.
It all begins on 11 October, when CRYSTAL LAKE release their latest single APOLLO in Japan, including two new songs and a remix of Dreamscape by dubstep producer PhaseOne, as well as a DVD featuring footage from their sold out tour finale earlier this year.
21 October will see the band throwing a festival under their name, at Studio Coast, Tokyo, inviting 15 of their favourite bands to perform. These include Japan’s coldrain, America’s Fit For A King and Taiwan’s Emerging from the Cocoon, as well as a number of names from Japan’s punk, hardcore and metal scenes, such as SHADOWS, SAND and NOCTURNAL BLOODLUST.
CRYSTAL LAKE then go on tour across the UK from 23 – 27 October, with Aviana and All Faces Down, playing at the following venues (click the venue name to visit the corresponding page to purchase tickets):
Monday 23 October: London 229, The Venue

Finally, on Saturday 28 October, the band will perform at the MoreCore Festival in Cologne, Germany.
