Oscar-winner Alicia Vikander has stepped into the shoes of iconic video game heroine Lara Croft and there’s a long, secret-divulging trailer to prove it.
For instance, is that a ghost behind the tree stalking her through the forest? Not sure the bow and arrow’s going to be any good against that thing!

Below are a few more images to dwell on from the trailer, in an adventure that will see Lara taking on Trinity (sounds a bit Bond) to stop the ancient Mother of Death from destroying the world (sounds a bit Suicide Squad).
While we didn’t snap the multiple puzzle boxes, there are quite a few of those bad boys. One of them has to release the Cenobites, surely!
And is Walton Goggins the bad guy? Great choice if he is.
While we see Lara picking out her weapons of choice (from Nick Frost, no less), she’s not too shooty in this first reveal. Much like the video game, however, there’s plenty of running, jumping and fighting – so don’t be surprised if your thumbs twitch while you’re watching.
