You learn things every day in this job. Today for example, we learned that there are now so many Emmys that they’re given out across three separate shows. The big ones will be handed out live on 17 September but the vast majority were handed out this weekend and there were some nice wins for all things genre.

Top of that list is Alexis Beldel picking up Best Drama Guest Actress for her staggeringly great work as Ofglen in The Handmaid’s Tale season 1. We can’t wait to see how they explore her story in season 2 and we’re delighted that Bledel’s brave, intense performance has been rewarded like this.

Elsewhere in the list the Samurai Jack team were utterly deservedly honored for their barnstorming final season with a Best Individual Achievement In Animation award. Westworld also picked up some good wins including Best Creative Achievement In Interactive Media and Best Hairstyling (Single-Camera Series). Stranger Things got Best Main Titles too which is a delight for fans of mobile 1980s paperback covers everywhere. And that includes us so yay!

Read the full list over at goldderby, and check back next week for the big awards.
