The final entry in the saga of Kazuma Kiryu, Yazuka 6: The Song of Life, will be released in the west for PS4 on March 20th, 2018.
Sega has promised this will be ‘the most technologically advanced Yakuza title to date’, as Kiryu travels to the new seaside town setting of Onomichi where he must investigate the life of his surrogate daughter, Haruka.
Everything you’ve come to expect from the series makes a return: from the over-the-top street brawls to the bevvy of nightlife activities. All the action is supported by the new Dragon Engine which, as the old games industry saying goes, is built from the ground up for Yakuza 6 on PS4. The game will even feature fully voiced Japanese audio for the first time.
To give Kazuma Kiryu an even bigger send-off, Sega will be releasing a Yazuka 6 premium edition. Pony up the extra cash and you’ll get a hardcover art book, two bar glasses, two ice stones and two coasters all in a collectable box. No word on EU pricing so far, though it’ll set you back $89.99 in the US.
If you’re hankering for some Yazuka action and can’t wait until March 20th, Yazuka Kiwami is scheduled for release on August 29th.
