How did I start my morning, you ask? Well, damn near bawling my eyes out to this trailer for Life is Strange: Before the Storm, which features a number of real people talking about the friends that matter most to them in their lives.

Just watch and try not to well up…

Phew, there you have it. Square Enix has put the video together as it says these friends share a special bond in the same way the characters Chloe and Rachel do in Before the Storm. 

Yeah, it’s all a bit hokey and saccharine sweet, but remember this is the same publisher who dressed rabbits up as Moogles for a week to celebrate the launch of Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age.

Anyway, Life is Strange: Episode 1 – Awake is out today on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The three-part series takes place three years before the events of the original game and follows the friendship of Chloe Price and Rachel Amber – the latter is somewhat of a mythical figure in the game’s universe as she’s talked about lots but never seen in Max’s story.
