Following the rip-roaring events of episode four of season seven of Game of Thrones, titled The Spoils of War, Monday’s episode has a lot to live up to!
Eastwatch, as the next episode is called, is once again directed by Matt Shakman – so here’s hoping we see some more of that epic action from the War of the Seven Kingdoms.
The shots we’ve seen so far don’t promise much of that, featuring more sombre, character-based scenes. But HBO doesn’t tend give away the money shots until the episode has aired – and as fans ourselves, we wouldn’t have it any other way.
The one telling shot we have here is Tyrion walking across the battlefield, heading no doubt to the spot where he fears he might find a particular corpse. Or was Bronn’s status as House Lannister Employee of the Month duly deserved?
