The free updates to Respawn’s Titanfall 2 are set to continue rolling from next week when the frenetic and acrobatic shooter gets a new co-op horde mode named Frontier Defense.

The new mode pits you and up to three pals against increasingly stronger waves of enemy attacks, all the while you’ll need to defend your Harvester from destruction. The mode comes with new weapons, gear and progression options – some of which give you special bonuses by beating the new mode on some of the harder difficulties.

A couple of new maps will be included in the free update too. The first, Rise, is a remastered version of a vast arena from the original Titanfall. The second is a brand new Live Fire map named Township, which Respawn describe as “an idyllic small-town environment with open thoroughfares and small buildings with intense close-quarters combat”.

All of this will be added to Titanfall 2 in a free update on July 25th. To celebrate, there’s also going to be a free multiplayer trial weekend running from July 28th to July 30th.
