The next round of free PlayStation Plus games for August has been announced, including Just Cause 3, Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry and Downwell.

Just Cause 3 is the third entry in the barmy action series from Avalanche. It sends Rico to his birthplace of Medici, where he’ll grapple hook between planes, shoot up the naughty men and blow up almost everything in sight. Pure, unbridled chaos.

Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry is a DLC spin-off turned standalone release from Black Flag which focuses on Edward Kenway’s pirate pal, Adéwalé. Set twenty years after the events of the original game, Adéwalé finds himself undertaking a mission as part of the Brotherhood of Assasins to mess with Templar plans.

Meanwhile, PS3 players get co-op digging adventure Super Motherload and funky sports game Snake Ball. Moreish vertical shooter Downwell and comedic white-collar stealth game Level 22 await on Vita.
