Boooo! Disappointing news for all of us looking forward to the second collaboration between Level-5 and Studio Ghibli as Bandai Namco has confirmed that the release date of Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom has been pushed back to 19th January 2018.

The delay was announced in a special message from the developer’s CEO and president, Akihiro Hino.

“We have decided that more development time is required in order to deliver the full Ni no Kuni II experience to our fans. I deeply apologise to those who have been looking forward to the game’s release. Please rest assured, however, that we will continue to strive to provide a deep and satisfying single player experience that our fans can look forward to enjoying,” he said.

The video message also clarifies some confusion around multiplayer content in Ni no Kuni II. There appears to have been a misunderstanding during an E3 interview that suggested the game would support multiplayer but in fact, this is not the case.
