If the prospect of running around Eos with your friends has you all sorts of excited then you’ll be pleased to hear the promised multiplayer DLC for Final Fantasy XV will go live for a week’s worth of testing from Thursday, August 3rd.

Details on the actual content of the beta haven’t been fully announced, but we do know you’ll be able to create a custom avatar and undertake quests with the ultimate goal of bringing the light back to Lucis.

Early screenshots show a handful of clothing options, a party resting up at a camp site and a couple of combat encounters featuring offensive and defensive skills.

Final Fantasy XV Season Pass holders with PS Plus and Xbox Live Gold subscriptions will be able to download and participate in the beta, which runs until August 8th.
