Total War: Warhammer 2 will be released on September 28th, Creative Assembly and SEGA have confirmed.

The grand strategy sequel, based on Games Workshop’s ubiquitous tabletop battler, will launch on PC with four new playable factions, including High Elves, Dark Elves and Lizardmen. The fourth faction is yet to be confirmed, but based on hints and teasers it is strongly suggested to be the Skaven.

Troop management, city development and large-scale battles are all to be expected in a new campaign that will see you fighting to destroy or protect the Great Vortex over the isle of Ulthuan. You’ll also be able to combine the map from the original game to create one giant expanse.

Standard and limited editions of the game will be available, as well as the Deluxe Serpent God edition. That version comes with a Race Pack for the first game and a whole host of extra goodies, including stickers, an art book, bone totems, a canvas map and more.
