PS Plus games for July revealed

Wow, it’s a really good month to be a PlayStation Plus subscriber! Sony has announced a strong lineup of games for July across PS4, PS3 and Vita.

The main event is Until Dawn from Supermassive Games. The choose-your-own-adventure thriller is pure gaming brilliance. It’s a combination of utter ridiculousness and tense horror as you live out a classic slasher movie where your actions and choices can alter who lives and who dies from the cast of horror movie archetypes. It cannot be recommended enough.

Elsewhere, there’s Telltale’s episodic Game of Thrones adventure. A solid outing from the studio behind The Walking Dead and Tales from the Borderlands that, while not perfect, does an admirable job of replicating the bleak misery and secret politicking of George R.R. Martin’s world.

PS3 players get the bonkers post-apocalyptic animal rogue-like, Tokyo Jungle, and fighter, Darkstalkers ResurrectionElement4l and Don’t Die, Mr Robot round of the offering on PS Vita.

Finally, PS Plus subscribers will get the first PlayLink title, That’s You, for free. The party game makes use of your smartphone so up to five friends can duke it out in a game of quiz questions, text games and drawing challenges.

So, yeah, a strong month indeed!
