New Kingdom Hearts III trailer reveals the return of Hercules

Square Enix took E3 as an opportunity to remind us that Kingdom Hearts III does actually still exist by unveiling a new trailer featuring the Olympus Coliseum world.

The world of Hercules and Hades has made regular appearances throughout the series in the past, pitting Sora, Donald and Goofy against a range of mythical creatures and bringing them face to face with Final Fantasy favourites such as Auron and Cloud.

The new trailer leans heavily on the game’s reworked combat, which now looks prettier and speedier than it has ever been before. As expected, a lot of similarities are there to A Fragmentary Passage – the short side-story that was included in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 as, essentially, a demo to show some of the ideas Square Enix were looking to explore in the third entry.

While no official announcement has been made, Kingdom Hearts III is expected to be released no earlier than 2018. News is slowly starting to ramp up, though, as a new world and new trailer will be shown on July 15th.
