A new trailer for Volition’s bonkers open-world action game, Agents of Mayhem, introduces three characters to its roster of playable heroes.

First up, there’s fashion model-turned-weapons-inventor, Joule. A tech-head who’s capable of organising a controlled demolition and then snapping the perfect selfie as it explodes in the distance.

There’s also Rama, an immunologist whose precision bow skills appear to be as deadly as the viruses she helps cure. How’s that for irony?

Finally, the meathead of the group is Red Card. Described as a ‘football-obsessed psychopath’ he’s seen casually charging into gunfights and front-flipping cars like it ain’t no thing.

If anything, the trailer just goes to show how crazy Volition’s plans are for their Saints Row spin-off. With the ability to switch between up to three agents at a time this could also be the squad you take into battle against the evil forces of L.E.G.I.O.N. if that’s the way you want to play it.

Agents of Mayhem is scheduled for release on August 18th for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
