The London Korean Film Festival may not be until November but that doesn’t mean that you have to wait until then to get your next Korean movie fix. The Korean Cultural Centre (KCC) have revealed a series of special screenings taking place throughout the year, and The King is next.

Directed by Han Jee-rim and starring Korean heartthrob Jung Woo-sung, the film prides itself on being the Korean Wolf of Wall Street as it presents the lavish excess of the politicians in the ’80s and ’90s.

Taking place on Monday 12 June at Picturehouse Central in Piccadilly Circus, it is set to be one of the most intense political corruption films that the KCC have released.

It’s already proven to be a huge hit in South Korea, taking the number two spot at the country’s box office thanks to its exhilarating narrative and synchronised dancing.

More information about the film is available here, tickets cost £5 for Picturehouse members and £8 for non-members, don’t miss out!
