Anime is set to return to the small screen in the UK, after distribution firm All the Anime signed a deal with TV channel Viceland.

The channel, which is featured on Now TV and Sky and currently shows hit cartoon Archer, will screen Eureka 7 and both series of Tokyo Ghoul. Further shows will also be presented on the channel, All the Anime’s marketing executive Jeremy Graves revealed, and those titles will be announced soon.

Graves also confirmed three new upcoming home video releases from the anime company during the Sunday panel at MCM London Comic Con.

The first is Hyouka, a new series by Kyoto Animation, which is based on a mystery novel of the same name. The anime follows high school student Hotaro Oreki as he tries to solve cases with his fellow Classic Literature Club members.

More information about All the Anime’s distribution of Erased was also provided at the panel, as it was confirmed that it would be released in two parts – the first costing £39.99 and available later this year, featuring the opening six episodes, a 92-page booklet, audio commentary and a textless opening and ending theme.

The final announcement was for the return of Wolf’s Rain to British shores. The classic series will be released on Blu-ray for the first time later this year (potentially in time for Christmas!), and the collection will also include the series’ four-part OVA.
