Sigil & Sign: new Lovecraftian horror RPG ends the world in style

Cubicle 7 is one of the best tabletop companies in the business, not to mention one of the most varied. It produces the official LOTR and Doctor Who RPGs, the brilliant original games Victoriana and Rocket Age and now, Sigil & Sign.

Sigil & Sign is a new Lovecraftian horror RPG with a twist; instead of fighting to prevent the end of the world? You’re fighting to bring it about. As cultists, you have to struggle with your doubts over your cause, whether you want to escape it or stop it and the power struggles of your colleagues. The end of the world is HARD work for your characters but fun for you.

It’s a deluxe slip case RPG that’s made to the same standard as the Doctor Who boxed sets and the Cthulhu London set C7 put out a little while ago. The lead art is by Mark Kelly, best known for his work on games for Onyx Path and the game system itself is an iteration of I Am Zombie, designed by Mark Rein-Hagen.

Roleplayers who were around in the ’90s just gasped and reached for their wallet. Several of them in our office.

Rein-Hagen is the creator of the Vampire and associated other World of Darkness games. He’s The Grateful Dead (and werewolves. And mages. And fae. And wraiths) of tabletop horror roleplaying.

The rest of the team are just as impressive. Head writer CA Suleiman (Vampire: The Requiem) is joined by Dennis Detwiller, Greg Stolze (Unknown Armies),  Lucya Szachnowski (Strange Aeons), Jesse Heinig (Fallout), Malcolm Sheppard (Mummy: The Curse)  and Tim Dedopulos (Cthulhu Lives!). Between them, they have an outstanding pedigree and know the Lovecraftian mythos inside out and backwards. Or is that how those strange letters are supposed to look?…

Sigil & Sign is high-end roleplaying in every way. The set isn’t cheap but every pound is right there in the production value and creative staff. The end of the world has rarely looked this good, or promised to be this much fun.

Sigil & Sign is funding now.
