The original Paddington, based on Michael Bond’s delightful booms, is a strong contender for the best movie released in 2014. It’s gentle and kind, very funny, deeply weird and is directed with a wonderful lightness of touch. Now, the first teaser for the sequel has arrived and looks every bit as good.

We’re especially fond of Brendon Gleason as a criminal chef so evil he breaks a rolling pin in two. Also a knight? Hugh Laurie with a sword cane? Was that Westminster Abbey?! We can’t wait.

The movie is due for release on 10 November. If you haven’t seen the first one yet, treat yourself, it’s a delight.
