Following the release of ‘Rebirth‘, their first single in four years, London-based Japanese rock band Esprit D’Air have announced details of new single ‘Guiding Light’. Plus, you can also catch members Kai, Ellis and Daishi at the Islington O2 Academy2 as they play a headline show later this month.

‘Guiding Light’ will be released on 12 April 2017 and is the second release from the band’s upcoming comeback album, which will be released this summer.

Of the track, Esprit D’Air vocalist Kai had this to say: “Inside each human there is a Guiding Light, it leads us through the journey that is life. This powerful feeling is what we tried to convey with the song. The lyrics reflect the everyday struggles that we all face during our short time on this earth. There are periods when everything feels dark and hopeless, times are bad, and the world seems monochrome and binary. Then we see the light and realise there is hope, things will get better and a spectrum of technicolor radiates around us, this is what keeps us moving forward. That is the concept behind ‘Guiding Light’, and it translates through the song, the video and the artwork very intentionally, like prisms of lights shining out in to the world.”

You can see Esprit D’Air live in London on 31 March 2017 as they headline the O2 Academy2 in Islington. Tickets are priced at £8, plus booking fee, and can be purchased here. Esprit D’Air will also be at The Ruby Lounge with the Courtesans in Manchester on 1 April 2017.
