Supported by a talented ensemble of actors, which include Scot Williams as shop accountant Mat and Junichi Kajioka as the sushi-eating ‘voice of reason’ Yoichi, Kelly Brook silences the naysayers and critics with her credible performance as the very likable Kate in this enjoyable light-hearted comedy drama.

She plays a good-natured down-on-her-luck shop assistant who decides it’s time for her to be bad and conjures up a plan, Bonnie & Clyde-style, to rob the shop on its last day of trading. Set in and around the historical city of London, the film’s picturesque backdrop makes for a striking and fun playground and is without doubt one of the most appealing aspects of this indie flick.

The well-structured script, written by Maeve Murphy who’s also at the helm as director, is as tight as Ebenezer Scrooge and flows effortlessly like the River Thames on a hot summer weekend. Definitely a film well-worth 75 minutes of your time.
