Congratulations to Barry Spiers from Felbridge in East Grinstead, who drew Mya Tenshi in Issue 45 of MyM magazine. He wins a bundle of Kuretake goodies with an RRP of £70!

The official mascot of MyM appears on page three of the magazine, above the editor’s letter. She has been drawn in many forms by artists who are MyM readers, as well as by a number of professional artists.

Spiers started by sketching out the character with pencil and paper, then inking onto Bristol Board. The black and white artwork was then scanned and tidied up in Illustrator to help smooth out the lines, and coloured in Photoshop using a mixture of the brush, eraser, blur and mixer brush tools. You can find more of Barry Spiers’ work at his online portfolio.

To submit your own version of Mya Tenshi and be in with the chance of winning Kuretake art supplies worth £70,  email your artistic vision to competitions@mymags.net. Visit the Mya Tenshi competition page on MCM Buzz for full details and terms and conditions.
