It seems like everyone in King’s Landing wants a piece of Mira.

Following the inevitable announcement of a second season of Telltale’s Game of Thrones, it’s no surprise that The Ice Dragon feels more cliffhanger than climax, but there’s still enough meat here to keep fans ticking over until their next fix.

All three storylines get equal screen time. Mira has to choose between Margaery, Cersei and saving her own skin. At Ironrath, the Forresters and their pitiful remaining forces prepare to defend their ancestral home against overwhelming odds. Meanwhile, beyond the Wall, Gared finally reaches the mysterious North Grove.

The North Grove is sure to pique the interest of long-time Game Of Thrones fans.

Of course, this being Game of Thrones, it’s hardly a spoiler to reveal that events end messily, with blood and betrayal flowing thick and fast. There’s a lingering feeling that your choices across the storylines ultimately do little to affect the course of events, but this is countered by another strong script and some interesting additions to the mythos of Westeros.

There will be no happy homecoming for the Forresters at Ironrath.
