MYMissue39Issue 39 of MyM, the official magazine of MCM Expo Group, is out now! Featuring killer robots, a midnight chase around LA and a cosplay photo gallery from MCM London Comic Con – did you make the cut?

EDITOR’S LETTER

Did you come and join the record-busting crowd at MCM London Comic Con? It was so nice to see you if you did, and if you got stopped by one of our army of snappers at the show you may well get a nice surprise when you check out our cosplay gallery on pages 12 to 13!
It’s been a busy month, all told. Alongside our massive London show, we found ourselves in the super-popular world of board, card and RPG games as UK Games Expo hit Birmingham. There were some fantastic new titles to see and plenty of tables to sit at and challenge people to games, plus some amazing merchandise (including a set of semi-precious dice we were sorely tempted to hit the cashpoint to acquire).
Fighting our way through the crowds at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole seems like an easy task, however, when we look at what we put our intrepid reporter Scott Snowden through. He joined a team of news chasers on the mean streets of LA to race around the city and capture footage of major incidents. He tells us all about this adrenaline-fuelled exercise, which was of course the inspiration for the film Nightcrawler, on page 70.
And we wholeheartedly apologise to our art guru Andy Mountain, who does all the heavy lifting to make this magazine look so good every issue, for the lateness of our copy. In our defence, when you’re offered last-second (and extremely rare) interviews with names such as director Yee Chih-yen, horror maestro Adam Green and – OMG! – Arnold Schwarzenegger and Emilia Clarke, you can’t really say no. So thank you Andy for your patience!
