There’s a few things coming up over the next two months for the Pretty Cure franchise; its fifth crossover film Pretty Cure All Stars New Stage 2: Friends of the Heart is scheduled to be released on 16 March and its tenth series DokiDoki! Precure will be released on 3 February.

Pretty Cure All Stars New Stage 2: Friends of the Heart involves all of the Cures, including those introduced in DokiDoki! Precure, being invited to a special party at a Fairy Academy, where they become involved in a huge incident along with two fairies.

It has also been revealed that Atsuko Tanaka and Mayumi Tanaka will be joining the cast of the magical girl anime, DokiDoki! Precure. Atsuko Tanaka is best known for her role as Major Motoko Kusanagi in the Ghost in the Shell films and television series; her more recent roles include Queen Iliya in Space Battleship Yamato: Resurrection and Claudette in Queen’s Blade. Mayumi Tanaka has voiced numerous characters in her long career, including Krillin in Dragon Ball Z and Luffy in One Piece.

DokiDoki! Precure is a magical girl series about Mana Aida (Hitomi Nabatame), who enjoys helping others. At her school orientation she comes across the Selfish, who try to manipulate her heart. A fairy from the Trump Kingdom named Charles (Kumiko Nishihara) gives Mana the power to transform into a legendary Pretty Cure warrior, Cure Heart. Along with other Pretty Cures, Mana fights the Selfish to protect people’s hearts.
