Just two weeks ago Square Enix announced a remake of SNES RPG Secret of Mana due for release in February 2018. At PAX this weekend the publisher debuted a healthy ten minutes of gameplay footage, which you can view below. Thanks, WoWo Games!

The video goes through the opening moments of the remaster, giving us a first proper look at the game in action since the update. The hosts also go through a number of questions about what’s been changed or improved for the release.

The art style still grates a little with all its strictly defined smooth edges, though it’s easy to be a sucker for that classic and expressive pixel art look of old.

If the footage has you more convinced to make a pre-order, you can already do so from PlayStation Store and the Square Enix Online Store. The Secret of Mana remake is scheduled for release on PS4, PS Vita, and PC on 15 February 2018.
