Oh My Gore! has announced it is co-producing the film Fever, the feature debut of director Romain Basset.

“Well-known talented artists will join us into this adventure since Catriona MacColl, Lucio Fulci‘s muse who needs no introduction, will play one of the leading parts along with a totally British cast,” a spokesperson for Oh My Gore! said.

“In addition, Romain Basset will be assisted by Adam Kempton, an emblematic figure of the British cinema, who worked not only as a first AD for Ridley Scott, Alan Parker, John Boorman and Ken Russell, but also as an associate producer on Roman Polanski’s The Ninth Gate.”

Basset’s previous work includes short films Bloody Current Exchange and Remy and he recently worked on the anthology The Theatre Bizarre as Richard Stanley’s first assistant director and participated in the development of its wraparound.

Meanwhile, French Glam Rock band BlackRain have been brought on to handle the film’s score

“The Parisian rock musicians have enthusiastically accepted to take up the challenge. Let’s just say that their first trials are more than promising!” the spokesperson said.

Fever, which is a working title, will get some of its budget from the crowdfunding website Kisskissbankbank.

The production is expected to start in January 2012 and the film will be shot using the Red MX camera.
